Light Vaginal Bleeding After Sex

My boyfriend and I were just having sex and when he came we noticed some traces of blood on his penis. After figuring out it was coming from me, I took out my NuvaRing (which I am going to officially remove tomorrow-the end of the three week cycle) and rinsed the blood off then fished for any blood. There is just light bleeding but I believe it is mildly consistent. We were going kind of rough, but I'm not really in any pain. Are there any experts out there that could help me decide if I need to see a doctor?
