Persistent fishy odor

I used Hydroxycut 5 years ago for a very short period and since then, I have an unpleasant vaginal odor. STI tests are all negative and treatment for trichomonas vaginitis has not resolved the issue since this is not the cause of the problem. Intake of any medication, including simple over the counter pain pills only exacerbate the problem. I am at my wits end with no social life. Please help.

On second thoughts, I'll request for another BV test too. Anything to resolve this issue.

Both are great idea's to start with :)Before the LEEP, you would have to have a biopsy to confirm abnormal cells(cancerous), which is where the PAP comes in handy. Best of luck to you, during your appointments ~ Take Care!

Thanks much for your response clement4now. I've read other comments elsewhere here on a related problem & someone who had a similar problem eventually had the LEEP procedure performed. I've now read extensively on this & booked an HPV & pap smear test. BV treatment didn't help. I am determined to get to the bottom of this problem.

Hi,
Have you seen a gynecologist lately, for an exam, or PAP? Have you considered bacterial vaginosis (BV) ~ BV can causes a fishy odor sometimes. The best way to figure out what the cause is and how to treat it, would be to have your doctor perform a pelvic exam with tests.
