Lump :(

Hi, I found a lump to the left and up from my clitoris and it hasn't gone away. I found it a few months ago but have been too freaked out to tell anyone but is small, hard and doesn't have a head. I've tried squeezing it but it didn't pop, just started to ache. It literally feels like a knot but it's getting me down, I need to know what it is! Any ideas?

Hi it's more likely to be non cancerous but you should go to your doctor and get it examined. Possibly just a boil  but get it checked out by a doctor. All the best .

Thankyou. I'm 21, believe it or not, and still a wimp! I just didn't want to risk it being some sort of STD and have to talk to my mum about it you know?

Hi there.  Welcome.  Sorry you are have this.  Please don't try to pick it or squeeze it.  You could ultimately end up doing some harm to yourself or causing an infection.  It could be a cyst which happens. Is it painful (other than when you squeeze it)?  Please don't be embarrassed or freaked out.  We all get things down there of some sort from time to time.  And doctors are very used to looking and diagnosing without giving it more thought than doing their job.  I know it's a sensitive area and our 'private' area making it awkward to ask for help.  But it is really nothing to be embarrassed about.  I'd have it looked at as you've had it for a while now.  It is most likely nothing at all to worry about but running it by a doctor is the best option here.  So, take a deep breath and make a call. If you are younger ---  your mom will not mind helping you with this, I'm sure!  I'm a mom---  that's what we do.  Take care of our kiddos. good luck hon
