Menstrual cycle

I have been on my cycle for 21 days so far it has been very heavy! I will go thru a super plus tampon and super pad in two hours if that! I also have very large blood clots! I was wondering if this is concerning where I need to see doctor and what can it be? P.s my cycle is abnormal

Hi there.  Yes, that is outside of normal and you do need to see a doctor.  I wouldn't panic or anything but you need to get it diagnosed and work on why you are bleeding heavily for so long.  It could be something like fibroids which can cause that.  You'll also want to make sure you aren't getting anemic with such blood loss.  So, please do see a doctor soon, okay?  Good luck and come back and tell us what the doctor says, okay?

Hello I am 47 & I am very concerned for myself. I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.) But I found your post & everything you went through is  EXACTLY what I’ve been dealing with for 1YEAR. I was wondering because you never posted anything else about what you did or what was wrong, did you go to the doctor what did they say or do. I am sorry but I am wondering if you could please tell me what’s wrong with me?
In your shoes I would suspect a fibroid, and see a doctor right away. They aren't life threatening, but the bleeding will give you anemia, not to mention the hassle.
ps -- They have flat absorbent bed pads made for people who are incontinent, you can buy them in the grocery store near where "Depends" are sold. I'd definitely sleep on one of those every night when you're having a flow. And take iron and vitamin C. But seriously, see your doctor.
Thank you
