The best time was 20 years ago. Haha, just kidding.  Great advice from special mom but might I suggest investing in boxer shorts for your hubby and both steer clear of the hot tub. Have fun and good luck. :0)))

Hi there and welcome.  Well, we are the same age.  I can give you general guidelines for how many women get pregnant but there is one issue I must let you know about.  Women of our age have two things going on--  few eggs and old eggs.  Our chance of carrying a baby to term is much lower than younger women and our chance of having a child with a disability are much greater.  Our chances of getting pregnant are also less in general.  I just want to tell you this because it might be in your best interest to see a fertility specialist who deals with women trying to conceive that are older.  I had my boys at age 38 and 39 and have friends that conceived naturally in their early 40's.  But you and I are getting up there now in terms of naturally conceiving.  We often need help from a specialist to make it happen if it is able to happen.

That is not meant to discourage you other than to be realistic and not waste too long just 'trying' on your own if seeing a fertility specialist is something you can do.

To get pregnant, you track your cycle.  day one of your period is the first cycle day.  Then you count from there.  On day 10,  you begin having sex every other day for 10 days (or a bit longer if you have a longer cycle).  That should catch ovulation.

good luck dear and please let us know how it goes and if you have success!
