Missing period for six months

I haven't had a period in six months. I'm not on birth control or sexually active with men. I'm 22 years old and have never had this problem before, my cycle was so predictable that I knew what time it would start and end. In September I missed my cycle, I thought it was stress, it came late the next month, then didn't come again until early December. I don't know what to think. Any advise would be helpful. Thank you.

well if you have totally ruled out pregnancy that is one thing you can check off your list. i coincedently had the same thing happen to me when i was younger (about 17-18 yrs old) and i went over an enitre year without a period, finally i went to a endocrine doctor who found out i was lacking menstration due to my sugar levels believe it or not! once i cut back on my starchs and sugars i not only lost a ton of weight but also my periods resumed and were once again regular. so you might what to check and see if your regular family doctor can do a full blood work done and check all your levels for everything! hope this helps a little! best of luck!

Have you been losing weight? Sometimes when women don't get their period it is because their percentage of body fat is too low. When your body fat gets too low your body will no longer create the lining of your uterus because it knows it will not be able to nurture a baby. I hope this helps!
