My clitoris becomes swollen during my period

My period started 2 days ago and today I noticed that my clitories is swollen, enlarged and a bit painful. This never happened to me before. I never had sex and have not changed anything that comes in contact with that area. I had a cold shower and let plenty  cold water wash the area without any soap and it made me feel a bit better. What should I do?

Hm, well, hormones can do this to some extent.  I'd keep an eye on it.  Make sure that a hair isn't wrapped around it which sounds weird but can happen (as it can to a penis as well.  New moms are instructed to watch for these things with their babies, for example).  But if this continues, I would get checked with your doctor.
