Irregular Period?

So I started my period a week early at the beginning of this month and it ended on a monday. But then I started up again that saturday and it seemed like a normal period (despite having a period again in the same week). But it's now just at a really light flow and it's lasted for about 12 days. Sometimes it gets really light and I think it's done, but it's not and comes back again. I'm 22 and not sexually active and this has never happened to me before so I'm worried.

My flow finally stopped about a week ago and I haven't had any problemas sense. Would it be bad if I waited until next period to see if it's regulated again before I consult a doctor? I read a few articles and found this could happen from things like stress and I was extremely stressed out at the time due to other reasons.

Hi,
Two periods at a week’s gap or bleeding for 12 days is not a good sign and you need to consult your Doctor. This can occur because of hormonal factors or due to local causes like cervical erosion, endometrial hyperplasia or ovarian cysts etc. an ultrasound scan will help make the diagnosis.
The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
