Need Help!

I'm 17 I was on the depot shot for about 9 months, I've been off it for almost a year. I haven't had a period in at least 2 months. I have all second trimester symptoms and the other day I believe I felt movement. I haven't gained any weight but my stomach appears larger and is becoming hard. The home pregnancy test came of negative, is there another explanation for the symptoms?

Ok guys, I went to the doctor and they told me it may be a hormone imbalance. They say the symptoms may b from the depot but they aren't certain

Thanks. The depot shot never stopped my period, it made them extremely long which was I stopped getting the shot. My period just stopped coming between 2 and 3 months which is why I assumed I was pregnant before getting the false test. I'm going to the health clinic on Monday because I don't like my primary care doctor, so I'll keep you posted.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If you stop getting Depo-Provera injections, your period usually returns within 3 to 10 months but sometimes it may take 12-18 mths. If you are having symptoms of pregnancy, You can test 1 week- 10 days after you miss your periods or you can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test.. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
