I would go to see the doc. I can't think of anything else to explain the symptoms........they only way to be sure is a blood test
Hello,
If you stop getting Depo-Provera injections, your period usually returns within 3 to 10 months but sometimes it may take 12-18 mths. If you are having symptoms of pregnancy, You can test 1 week- 10 days after you miss your periods or you can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test.. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.
I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thanks. The depot shot never stopped my period, it made them extremely long which was I stopped getting the shot. My period just stopped coming between 2 and 3 months which is why I assumed I was pregnant before getting the false test. I'm going to the health clinic on Monday because I don't like my primary care doctor, so I'll keep you posted.
Ok guys, I went to the doctor and they told me it may be a hormone imbalance. They say the symptoms may b from the depot but they aren't certain
