period query

ive had irregular periods since i was 17 and im now 24. my previous periods this year have been fine until recently. i started bleedin a week before i was actually due on, which i classed as havin my period. it lasted 7 days n was light but then 2 weeks later i started bleedin again, this on was very heavy, i had really bad stomach ache with it. ive gone thru more pads than i normally do, changin nearly every hour and ive also had clots on more than one occasion. its hard to describe them but they were deep red, they didnt really hav a shape to them. ive nva had them before. ive been bleedin for 8 days now and ive had clots 4 of out the 8 days. do i need to b worried about this or not??

Are you currently on birth control? Or maybe you were on birth control and are now off of it? My sister at a very young age had lots of issues where 3 weeks out of the month she was on her monthly, and had only one week to rest from it. Doctors put her on birth control, and she has been regulated ever since. How many times has this actually happened? If it happened only once, I personally wouldn't be too worried. There are many situations, and emotions, that can affect a women's period. Should you be more stressed than usual, or something like that, it can have an affect on your cycle. If it happens again though, I suggest seeing a doctor.
