I have to disagree with the above poster because I have been on birth control and that was my expierience and I also know other woman who have had similar expieriences as well!!! With depo it will take your body 6-8 months to regulate but with the mirena it will take about 2-3 months. Ovulation can work but is not 100% accurate because like I said above, both times I got pregnant was while I was on my period. YOU CAN GET PREGNANT ANYTIME OF THE MONTH.....
I have to disagree with the above poster. Going on birth control really confuses your body, and messes up your reproductive system. Going on it for a short amount of time, and then, just as it's getting used to it, coming off is not good for your body. After being on birth control, it can take at least 6 months for your cycles to regulate and it does make it more difficult to get pregnant.
Just remember, it takes a normal healthy AT LEAST a year to conceive naturally. Every month, you only have a 25% chance of conceiving so stats aren't that high.
Do you track your ovulation? If not, I would suggest doing so with OPKs. This way, you'll know when the best time to having sex is. If you don't want to use them, then having intercourse every other day or so from day 10 of your cycle till about day 20 should cover your bases. Signs to look out for that you're about to ovulate is pains near your ovary and a change in your cervical mucous. Coming up to ovulation, you should notice it becoming MUCH creamier or like egg whites and that's the best time to be having sex.
I know of a few things you can do to get pregnant. I don't know if any of them will mett your standards of fast but you will have i good chance at getting pregnant. One way is for you and your partner to not have sex two weeks before your period and then wait 3 days after your period to have sex because he will have higher sperm count and your body will except the pregnancy better.
Another way to get pregnant is to take birth control but take it for a very short time. The 2 best methods are depo and the mirena IUD. You get get one shot of the depo and not get another shot after that. The depo last for up to 12 weeks but after that it will make your reproductive organs work twice as hard for the time the depo was working on your body. The mirena is a birth control method that inserted inside of you and lasts for up to five years but you can have it taken out at anytime beofre that. I had mine in for one year and then I had it taken out, two months later I got pregnant. I also had a friend that had the mirena and had it taken out and two months later she became pregnant. Again, this works beause after the birth control is out of your body the organs work that much more faster to make up for the time that the birth control was in your body.
There is no 'quick fix' to gettign pregnant. All you do is having sex every other day leading up to ovulation, and then again for a couple days after to maximise your chances of conceiving.
