Thanks so much Madame Cheese! I hope you get to feeling well soon too!
Hey! You're not alone. Keep in mind, I am not a doctor or in the healthcare profession, but I am a 30 year old woman that has gone through the same thing. I was on Yasmin (birth control pill) for 9 years straight and when I came off, my body reeked havoc. My cramps became unbearable for weeks on end, my period was completely irregular, and it took me close to 2 years to finally regulate. I still have terrible cramps and even ovulation pain (I also have a few other menstrual journeys I'm experiencing: cysts, polyps, fibroids, and an enlarged left ovary) but I will say, it took time for my body to get back into its own rhythm. I also have many girlfriends that experienced similar experiences with irregularities after coming off birth control. And I know a lot of doctors say you can come off birth control and be perfectly fine, become regular right away and easily conceive, however that was never the case for me or most of my friends. Good luck and hot compresses work beautifully on your lower abdomen and lower back.
