Sharing a bathing suit?

I am going to the pool in a couple days. Just today I tried on my one piece bathing suit and it didn't fit, so my mom said  I cold use one of hers. She found a one piece that she hasn't worn in years probably. She told me it would be fine and she would wash it. She has no health issues I'm aware of. I'm not too concerned since she is my mother, but I don't want to risk anything. Is it okay to wear to go swimming in, or should I do something else? Is it possible for me to just wear a pair of my underwear and throw that away later or something?

If she has not worn the suit in years and intends to wash it for you, it has no more viruses or germs than a plain piece of cloth.  Don't worry, wear it in good health.  Things you buy at the store are probably dirtier.
