Free fluid near right ovary- no sign of cyst- 3 weeks post D&C

2 weeks after my D&C for a miscarriage I started to develop pain in my right side near my right ovary, and the pain goes into my lower back. well when the pain first started it was a very sharp pain the first night and hurt to sit or stand. However, now the pain is a dull ache and sometimes sharp sporadic pains. this has been going on for 12 days now. I went to see my OBGYN who performed my D&C a week ago and the vaginal ultrasound showed fluid near my ovary, but no sign of a cyst. The doctor told me to wait a week, and come back and see if the fluid has been absorbed. Well, yesterday was a week, and the fluid is still there- He suggested liproscopic surgery with microscope to see whats going on, but I said no and suggest waited 2 more weeks to see if the fluid will disappear on it own ( because I have heard it can take a while for fluid to disappear) . I dont want surgery unless absolutely necessary. I am terrified of this fluid. and want to know any one else stories or advice on this situation. I have been going threw nothing. but problems since the beginning of the year, and I dont want surgery. Please help.

Reminds me of me. Same symptoms.  I have had one cyst errupt and the fluid is still there from 3 years ago as well as other cyst formations on both ovaries. I recently got diagnosed with endometriosis which is not curable but treatable as well as my MD suggested I get surgery. I told her no. Try to see if your MD can put you on birth control to control your hormones for now until the fluid goes away or pain goes away,  then try in a few months to get pregnant again.

Thank You for your reply-
So the fluid is still around your ovary from 3 years ago?  when did the pain finally go away? I am always worried the fluid means cancer or something, but i just want all these symptoms to go away- could the doctor see that you for sure had a ruptured cyst?
