Red painful clitoris :(

Hey guys. So my clitoris is really irritated. It started on saturday when I was wearing some shorts that were really tight and kept rubbing against my clit. I went to the bathroom to realize that my clit was a bit red, but I thought it would swell down.

The same night I ended up getting my period & it really ***** because i feel like my period made it worse because of my pad rubbing against my clit & the fact that I am just bleeding.

So today, ive realized i am on my vagina, my clitoris is still red & irritated, still have my period, & im just in pain knowing I have something.

Does anyone know what this could be? What are good lotions or medicines to use for it?

If it still hurts, I will definitely go to the doctors.

thanks ahead of time.

I am not sexually active, so i believe it could be a cut around my clitoris. But thank you for the suggestion of the creams

Hi there.  Sorry you are having discomfort.  I would think less about an std and more of an irritation.  A minor cut that has gotten infected perhaps?  Friction makes sense as the culprit for the irritation and issue.  I would try to let it be, wear nothing tight and see if it gets better.  If not, then I would see a doctor.  good luck

Well, the fact that you have to wipe up a lot more than usual can't help your situation much.
Are you sexually active and if so, could it be possible that you've got an STD? If not, then I wouldn't worry TOO much. It could just be irritation or a bacterial thing. This will sound weird, but try Desitin or another diaper rash cream.
