Sharp pains around the anus during bowel movements with a tampon in?

Hi there,
I’ve been experiencing these pains for a while now and recently read that it might be endometriosis on WebMD but I’m always hesitant to believe anything I read on that site. These pains happen only when I have a tampon in and when I’m having a bowel movement and are isolated to around my anus - I don’t experience any pain in the vaginal area. They typically last a few seconds but are a very debilitating pain - I always have to stop what I’m doing and wait for them to subside. Could it simply be the tampon and nothing to be concerned about, or possibly something worse? Does anyone else experience these pains? I just want to make sure it’s not something to be super concerned about.
