Some one please help me cause my doctor cant figure it out

Hello,
For the past about year and a half or so I have been having horrible side pains. At first I thought it was me moving wrong. Last summer (2010) I went to the doctor for gout and he had told me that because of the locatin of my gout (right foot) and the recent discovery of my thyroid problem, I could possibly have some disease that could make me not have kids. After hearing that, the side cramps got worse. I dont know if it was the medication or if it is something different. Within the past 3 months though, the pain goes from my lower right side, up through my chest and down about half way through my left side. The pain, on a scale from one to ten, gets worse as it last longer. Last Saturday (April 30th) I had one in my sleep that lasted almost 45 minutes. I want to know whats wrong with me. I am sexually active but they started happening before I became active. I am also pretty big because I have an under active thyroid.

You may want to post this question to the thyroid forum. I also just found out I am hyop. The thyroid can mess up a lot of things but someone there will know that better than me. I am still trying to learn about mine. As for the gout. I take black cherry extract capsules for arthritis but it is also for gout. It could be that you have swelling on that side causing the pain. Good luck to you.

time for a second opinion. Have you seen a GI specialist?
