Sweetie, if you are on contraception (assuming you mean the pill) ---  then that is considered protected sex.  The hormones in itself could cause oddities to your period.  Do you take your pills at the same time and never miss any?

Were you taking anything like certain antibiotics that could have interfered with your birth control?  Which bc are you on?  Also, have you started any long term meds that could have interfered with hormone levels?  I had 3 weeks or so of spotting when I started lamictal, which is a very rare side effect, and changing my pill fixed it.  I wasn't relying on it for contraception, though.

You should talk to an ob/gyn and see what they think.  They might tell you to take a pregnancy test, or they might want to examine you.  A pregnancy test taken too early will read negative no matter what, so ask to make sure you would actually get useful information by taking one now (or at least ask the pharmacist about it).

Hi there and welcome.  Well, have you had unprotected sex?  If there is a possibility that you could have gotten pregnant . . .   then it is always a possibility, right?  You'd be far enough along at this point to take an early response pregnancy test.  Go get one and take it.

I do think we can have an off period.  That could be what this is.  I never had any spotting for days or any at all when I got pregnant both times.  I guess it can happen though.

so, go get a pregnancy test and check to see if that is the culprit.  good luck
