Ovulation?!?! Please answer

I hope someone can help me here. I recently got a blood test as I thought my periods were irregular as they've only lasted 2 days the past few months. The tests came back saying I'm "not ovulating". However, after calculating my own monthly cycle, I worked out my cycle is approx 36 days, rather than the average 28 days.

I still experience the typical watery/stringy clear 'egg white' discharge 3 weeks after bleeding (which is 2 weeks before the next period)

Therefore, I just wanted some advise as to whether I am ovulating or not as I still bleed every 5 weeks (even if it's just 2 days) & still get the "ovulation discharge"... but the blood test says otherwise?

I'm not trying to get pregnant now, but want to in the near future (next year probably)

If it helps, I've been on the contraceptive pill for 4 years, came off for approx 5 months, then went on the progresrerone one. But that one messed up my periods as I was bleeding very often, so I came off it after 8 months. That was end September 2016. Since then I have had the morning after pill twice. Last one I had was in January.

I hope someone can help me here by giving me some advice on what's happening lol, as I'm rather confused as my body is telling me I'm ovulating (the discharge), but the blood test says otherwise?? I had the blood test 2 days before I started my period, not sure if that helps?

Thank you!'
