Swelling from nuvaring?

Before I start, I want to apologize now for the long story!

So, I’ve been on nuvaring for about 3-4ish years now and haven’t had any major issues until recently. About 6 months ago out of nowhere, I went to take my nuvaring out and noticed some swelling inside my vagina. At first I thought it was a lump, so I made a doctors appointment right away. My usual doctor wasn’t available but the doctor I did see checked me out and told me she found nothing unusual, and that I may just have been feeling some tissue irritation caused by the nuvaring. I took it out for my usual period and at the end of the week the swelling seemed to go down. After I put it back in, it seemed like it swelled up 10 times more. I took it out right away and was off of it for several months until I could get an appointment with my regular doctor. Again, I felt belittled after she told me there was nothing wrong and that she’s never seen swelling with nuvaring (or at least that it’s rare), like she thought I was imagining it. So she encouraged me to try it again, and a week later I swear that it feels very swollen again. I have read about swelling from tissue irritation and vaginitis being caused by nuvaring, but I don’t want to make another appointment if I am just being paranoid and for them to tell me nothing is wrong again. So my question is; has anyone else who has been on nuvaring experienced vaginal swelling, or am I really just imagining it? And Is it anything to be concerned about?
