T1 virus which is part of Shingles How do I keep the yeast infections down

Ok, had the Shingles in 2012, and the Shingles virus shot in March of 2013 (which I found out I was allergic to also)... Had blood work showing the T1 virus that is Shingles, cold sores and yeast infections, which are part of the problems I'm having.   Shingles is under control with meds and the cold sores are also since it is the same med....  the Yeast infections are sometimes out of control....  red and smelly under the breast (both sides sometimes, one side other times), on my legs around the pantie line.   I know that environment, foods and stress play a part in keeping this crap under control....  I've tried using antiperspirant under my breast and it does help somewhat....  Does anyone else suffer from some of the same problems????

When I had actual shingles (not a yeast infection related to them as far as I know, but it could have been a secondary problem on the lesions) they itched like crazy. Something that helped was to take original Listerine (the stinky kind that's kind of gold in color) and put it on a cotton ball and really rub it into the lesions. It says it has natural ingredients like menthol and eucalyptus, and I think it has an alcohol base (so it isn't going to give you an infection of any kind), and for some reason it worked better on my skin than any of the topical ointments my doctor recommended for the shingles eruptions. If you can get some, it might be worth a try. When I used it, I put it on very freely, two or three times a day, and things got better quickly.

Ugh, that sounds like a big old pain!!  Can your doctor prescribe Diflucan for you which is a systemic tab to help with yeast overgrowth?  I have heard of women getting fungal issues under their breasts.  Keeping it dry is important which I guess the antiperspirant helps with.  I'd pay attention to clothing and what items make it worse, which bras, etc.  And can you air dry it at night?  I guess that would mean sleeping topless or underwearless.  (that's not a word, I know. )  I'd see if your doctor has any suggestions for you.  Frustrating!
