Vaginal Discharge!! Please Help!!

I am 26 years old and for the past 4 1/2 years I have had a heavy, white, DRY vaginal discharge that seems to be similar to yeast but more clumpy and thick. I have seen many doctors and have ruled out ALL possible STDs including yeast and cervical disorders, diabetes and thyroid conditions. Also just had my hormones tested with normal results. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY ANSWERS??

Well, let me give you a little more history.. I had a hysterectomy in 2006. I do still have one ovary tho. My problems didn't start until a year and a half after my hysterectomy. And yes since this started I have had a constant cramping. I also have had back pain but I've had this most of my life. I had a ultrasound and colposcopy and nothing showed up abnormal. I had my hormones checked, every std check under the sun!, and my thyroid checked.. all NORMAL! Ugh! It's very frustrating. Do you know, was yours triggered by something or did it just start out of nowhere? When I do have tests done it usually does not show an infection but they tell me my ph is high and I have very little healthy bacteria. I can see where you would be concerned about getting pregnant because vaginal/cervical discharges are very critical in getting sperm to the egg. Have you talked to your dr about your concerns with getting pregnant?

Im so glad that I caught both of these posts! I posted a question a little while ago about a constant lower abdominal (possibly ovarian) pain along with a constant dull lower back pain. Its been about 5 years now. I also have the thick white discharge. Its on my boyfriends penis after we have sex. I agree .. very embarrassing!
I have been treated in the past for yeast infections.. and even a PID infection..nothing.
Im worried that I wont be able to become pregnant when we start trying. Glad to know that someone else out there is with me on this...
Do either of you have any dull pain? Claire.. did your doc say this could be related to your thyroid?

Hi! I am 29 and have been having the same discharge for the past year. I have not had any luck getting this discharge to go away!!! I too have been to the dr many times and have tests come back normal for the most part. When did this start for you? Was it after some major change or event? Mine started when I had a minor in office surgical procedure done then got an infection and was treated with antibiotics. Have you ever had a culture done? I have had a couple cultures done and both times it showed positive for strep. But from what I understand strep can live harmlessly in about 30% of women. Other times I have read that it can cause a white discharge. When they found the strep both times was treated with antibiotics but I didn't see a change. Although I have heard that strep can be very difficult to treat and diagnose. My other question for you is.. do you see the discharge when you have intercourse? When I have intercourse the white thick discharge is always all over the place. It's very embarassing and frustrating. I just want to be "normal" again. And Im tired of being told this is normal discharge! Because i know it's not!
