But are you saying you just had HPV? HPV is a virus -- genital warts is another term for it. It's not uncommon to have this. however, you should use a condom with partners in order to not give it to them. HPV can lead to cancer but isn't cancer. BUT it is really important to get regular screenings as cervical cancer doesn't have signs until it is advanced. You could head that off before it got to that point easily!! HPV is an STD and not something you inherit or runs in families. But you need to be having regular pap smears. Please please please go see your doctor!
here's the cdc website on HPV:

Oh honey, you never did anything when you were told you had cervical cancer? Or did they just say that hpv could lead to cervical cancer? What did they want you to do at that time???
Listen, we have one body to take care of. Most things are very treatable if we handle it rather than run away from it. You have a child and you need to take your health seriously. Don't be afraid to take care of a health matter.
If you had actual cervical cancer and did nothing, that would blow me away hon. You have to go back to the doctor and sort that out. Your kid is counting on you!
thanks ever since they said cervical cancer to me i havent back for a check up. its been 2 yrs, my aunt died from it and im only 21 so im very scared thats why i got on here. but thanks again
In all honesty, I think you need to be seen by a doctor for a complete pelvic exam and I would not delay. good luck
Hi there and welcome. Could it be bacterial vaginosis? That has a very strong odor almost fish like? But going to the cervical cancer--- what type of treatment did you have?
