If its not yeast, then Diflucan won't help--it won't hurt, but is used to treat yeast.
You'd think if it were a bacterial infection, the Cefaclor would treat it, since its a strong antibiotic that is often used to treat boils or skin infections caused by bacteria.
Good luck. With 1/4 of the population carrying herpes, I thought I'd toss it out there as a possible reason for the genital sores, since it is the most common and likely cause of genital sores. It often presents with burning and intense pain, especially while urinating, and open "cuts" or sores in the vaginal or perineal region, and discharge. You can be carrying herpes virtually asymptomatically for many years before an obvious outbreak occurs.
If it is that, it will gradually get better in a few more days on its own.
But sounds like you are sure it isn't, so I'll simply wish you well.
Well, herpes is not an option because I am married with two llittle children and my husband and I have very little time to have sex with each other, let alone anyone else. :-) With that being said, I called my family Dr. and she prescribed a difulcan pill for me. As for the two bumps, she said that while it's probably not from the yeast, which she does feel I have, it's from some sort of bacteria and that vaginal sores or boils are very common even though this is the first time I have ever had anything like this. I looked them up and they can result from irritation, which I definately have. My Dr. thinks the sores will eventually resolve themselves. They are still about the same size, but not nearly as painful as yesterday, probably because they popped. How gross.....
It is very common to get a yeast overgrowth when you are on a broad spectrum antibiotic such as Cefaclor. However, the pimples or open sores you describe would not be typical for a yeast infection. They would be more typical of a herpes infection, but there are other things that can present this way, too.
If you need relief right away, consider going to an Urgent Care center. They can often do some basic testing and prescribe appropriate medication. They are less expensive and more appropriate than going to an ER. If you do have herpes, its important to get proper diagnosis and treatment right away.
If you self diagnose and treat, you may not be doing yourself any favors. The bacitracin oint won't hurt and may soothe the area. Aveeno soaks may help with the itching a bit. I'm sorry I don't have any better ideas for you, but do get seen as soon as you can.
