Well, it is hard to say if it is normal or not. While the vagina can have a bit of an odor, it really isn't supposed to 'stink'. Bacteria smells. Do you use a gentle cleanser on the outside and in the folds? My other thought is something that women can get which is bacterial vaginosis. This has a bit of a rank odor and yes, intercourse exacerbates it. A doctor has to diagnose that and this is done with a simple swab. Then you take medicine to treat it. A clinic like Planned Parenthood works for this if you don't have a regular doctor yet. Women can get this any time whether they are sexually active or not. So, I don't know for sure what is going on, but 'bad' odors really aren't too normal. An odor of some sort, yes. That might happen. Gentle washing helps. Never douche though as that will increase the chance of yeast overgrowth, etc. good luck
