Vaginal problem!! Please help!!

I am 17 and sexually active. About a year ago I had what was diagnosed as a yeast infection by my family doctor. It was god awful. It itched so badly that almost my entire vagina was raw. I had discharge, yellow and white. All of my lymph nodes were swollen. I had a couple of sores down there and was having excruciating pain when urinating. I could barely sleep, couldn't walk, couldn't move my legs, couldn't wear any clothing. I was terrified and almost positive that it was herpes after comparing my symptoms with online stories of people who have herpes. Like I said though, it was diagnosed by my family doctor as a yeast infection after she looked at it and the problems went away within a week of taking prescribed medication for a yeast infection. Since then, I've had pretty frequent infections like this one, but thankfully they haven't been as bad. It usually takes them a week to go away with over the counter yeast infection treatments. However now I am having a new type of problem. There is no discharge but I am having a really bad itch right above and to the left of my clit. .

I think you need to speak to your doctor again. You could be experiencing bacterial vaginosis. I would also suggest you speak to your doctor regarding your fear that it may be herpes.
