Vaginal spotting that gradually has got heavier with PCOS

Hi! I've been having problems with my cycle as long as I could remember. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago, and was put on BC and Metformin. I never took the metformin but started to lose weight on my own. I am considered obese. I weighed 242 and am now at 231 at 5'4" not much, I know. That little bit of weight loss kick started my cycle. It was lasting every 42-46 days. 3 weeks ago I was due for my cycle and started spotting. Very little brown/pinkish mainly when I took a bm. Is has slowly gotten a bit heavier. But still just spotting. I went to my doctor and he just thinks it's my pcos acting up again. I started my BC again to help regulate hopefully. I just really hate how the BC makes me feel...everytime I turn around I'm eating or screaming lol I've started to Google my symptoms which was a horrible idea. Now I'm freaking out about uterine or ovarian cancer. I have so many of the symptoms. I can't eat or sleep I'm worried sick about it being something more than PCOS symptoms again.

I was more even tempered when on birth control to be honest as my mood shifts and eating issues come from SHIFTING hormones rather than stable ones.  So, usually BC would make these things better and a reason why some women take them.  Why didn't you take the metformin?  I have two really good friends who do for PCOS and it's been a godsend.  their pcos symptoms got much better.  I get not liking to take medicine, I don't either.  But you are at a point in which you are struggling and I'd follow doctor's advice rather than try to doctor yourself.  Congratulations on your weight loss.  Any is good and it's a start.  But losing more I am sure is your goal.  Keep at that and again, maybe metformin would help you.  PCOS is lifelong to deal with and work around.  I'd accept this and just try to roll with some of the things you'll need to do to overcome.  Spotting is typical with hormonal issues and agree that it is probably your pcos acting up again.  Ugh, I'm sorry about that.  I hope it all gets under control.  good luck
