Agreed wit above post . U need to get checked to make sure everything is fine down there it's not scary. And it's something u need to do for the rest of ur life. So mid as Well get use to it hun
I wouldn't really say no since you are sexually active. If this is a normal general practitioner visit, you probably won't even have one. You do need to start seeing a gynecologist now, though.

It's only a yearly check up but I was just wondering if you have to take the test...like can you say no to it or is it mandatory? Do you know ?
Your mom doesn't have to know you're sexually active. She doesn't have to go to the doctor with you (if TX is anything like here in CA, you could've gone to the doctor alone at age 12 and they couldn't have told your parents). It would be best they do check your private areas and perform a pap smear because you are sexually active since you have potentially been exposed to HPV and any other number of things due to this. Better safe than sorry! Your mom won't know about anything that goes on in the room.
