What might my abdominal lump be?

I have a growing lump on my abdomen: Left side, pretty much in line with my belly button, so mid abdomen, vertically in line with the iliac crest, it is the shape of a lime. I have had it for a while, more than 6 months, but recently it seems a bit bigger and I've been getting some pain in my abdomen. The lump itself is not that sore, just tender to touch, but it is uncomfortable as I can feel it when I sit and sometimes the feeling of it being there is present when I eat also. Sometimes i get so pains in my abdomen in other areas and sometimes towards the back, but the pain does not present itself in one place. Any pain is not constant but comes and goes. So I was wondering if it may be possible to give me and idea of what the problem may be? Which organ is it most likely to be associated with? And also, what kind of specialist I would need to go and see?f
