Yeast infection again....

Is it possible to get yeast infection more then once? I first found out I had it when I was 16years old -- I put the cream on and it seemed to have helped. Now I am 20years old and it gets real itchy down there -- I always take showers pretty much everyday and clean that area while I am at it. Is it possible that I may have it yet again? I've heard you could get it from public restrooms -- but I usually use the toilet sheets they give you from above before sitting down or if not I just raise-sit position. I hope it's nothing serious if not that :)

Thank you for the advice -- I'm still not sure what douching is?? So I don't need to use water to clean my vagina??

Yeast infections can be caused by many things...and most women get them more than once in their lives. It's just something that happens. Since you've got one again, I suggest getting the tablet to treat the infection internally and also use the cream to help with the itching. The cream might not be enough this time to best to try treat it from inside. Stay away from scented soaps, body washes etc because that can cause them. Also douching is very bad for you too. The vagina is self cleaning so there is actually no need to all that.
