Yeast infection..or UTI??

So a few days ago I noticed that my vagina was sore and that there was some white (non-smelly) on my underwear. A day later I started to itch all over down there. So I took a Diflucan pill and waited. Well the next day I still had the same symptoms. But now, the left side of my clitoris is super sore and sensitive! I didn't even scratch that area..So i took a mirror and looked at my vagina. It seems like the yeast is only coming out of my urethra..I don't see any at all in my vagina. Plus I feel like I can't completely empty my bladder when I use the bathroom. I bought a one day Miconazole pack that comes with the egg you put in your vagina and the cream for the outside of the vagina for itchiness. Should i even use this?

So I will probably go to the doctors tomorrow or the next day, I just want to know what others think or if they have had the same symptoms.

Hello and welcome.  Generally, UTI's have the hallmark symptom of pain.  Unless it is very early stages in which elimination is difficult.  However, if you have discharge from your urethra, perhaps that itself is infected (not the bladder).  I would give it a couple of days and see if it resolves.

Now, I personally am "guessing" this is all related to the yeast infection that you saw the doctor for.  But am not a doctor and the internet does not substitute for medical care.  You really need to be seen by your physician for answers.  Again, wait a couple of days and if you are still having these issues, return to the doctor.

For yeast, I had thrush a few months ago.  Wow, forgot how uncomfortable those are!  I found two things that helped---  I got vagisil wipes and used them and then would leave one in place in my underwear for a few minutes.  Soothing!  I also ate probiotic yogurt (I like Dannon Activia).  If you don't want to eat probiotic yogurt, you can buy that in supplement form/pill form.  I really believe it helps.

good luck hon

You may have already gone to the doctors, which was a good idea in this situation. The Diflucan pill can take up to 7 days to work thoroughly though, just so you know. The 1-day treatment pack you bought would be pointless since you already took the Diflucan and just have to wait for it to take its course, but the itching cream would definitely help you! Since you can't fully empty your bladder, it sounds more UTI related, but the fact that your labia minora was inflamed is a pretty good indicator of a yeast infection or BV too.
