Many things can make you miss your period:stress, illness, travel, and malnutrition. Talk to your doctor.

Your uterus never expelled it's lining therefore you did not have a period, you spotted. If you had a negative test there could still be very serious things wrong. A missed period can be a sign of cancer, poly cystic ovarian syndrome, and serious hormone imbalances. This is not something to ignore. See a doctor.
