no one can tell you if you did or not. unless you got a positive pregnancy test you will never know. honestly, because you won't ever know it is better to just forget about it and think it was just your period because you could be getting yourself upset over something that did not even happen

also, cramping, back pain.. all symptoms of a period as well as a miscarriage. just like some women have simple painless periods, some women have awful periods where they can not stand to get out of bed. same with miscarriage, some women will tell you they felt little to no pain and for other people it was unbearable.

unfortunately, since you did not have a positive pregnancy there really simply is no way to tell. were you passing blood clots or notice anything that looked like tissue or a sac? if not, it was probably just your period.

It's hard to tell cuz both times when I got pregnant I felt like I was getting my period. The same symptoms I feel when i'm about to get it I was feeling, so both times I was convinced my period was coming. Then I was late and the only was I really knew was to get a positive test.

When I miscarried last time at 7 weeks I had no cramps, I had spotting but had no idea that it was uncommon until I asked my mom and she said go lie down then the next morning I was bleeding like crazy and i lost the baby, I had NO CRAMPS at all. Although most people say they have cramps.

My point is everyone is different, so unless you were late and took a pregnancy test, there's no way to be 100% sure.

Did you miss any periods? If you did you probably did have a miscarriage although it is sad to hear most miscarriages are caused due to defect of the fetus, whether by having a genetic defect of abnormality alot of times if the fetus is not in pristine condition it will naturally expell its self causing a miscarriage. I too had a miscarriage a few years back and the symptoms your explaining seem to almost mirror the same that I had. You need to make sure that you go to the hospital or your ob/gym to get whats called a dnc this is to confirm loss and to make sure that nothing is left behind that may cause septis (infection) if you dont take care of getting everything out you may lead your self to not being able to carry full term later and ending up very sick. I cant stress enough how important this is, however the only way to prevent this happening again is to use protection and if you are trying to conceive to start on prenatals early and take great care of your body. Most women lose the first pregnancy it is normal and nothing to be ashamed of! Our bodies know when we are ready to carry full term and will not allow it to happen anytime before then. Hope all is well and that you stay healthy and strong!
