doctor ordered a urine culture and wet mount

12 weeks ago I had a hysterectomy. Spotting has been mild but recently had a bright red one day spotting. I made an appointment with my doctor and he did an exam and said I am 100% healed and did not see any signs of distress from the vaginal hysterectomy. He performed what I assume is a wet mount and said all was normal no bacteria seen.
5 weeks ago my chart stated he performed a UA with scope and my PH at that time was 5.5. And my urine culture came back no growth seen.
I have no other symptoms except a slight clear watery discharge.
What all does a urine culture and wet mount test for?
