frustrated and sad...

TTC for a year now and finally get a late period and so far have had 3 negative HPTs.
im so frustrated because my doctor seems to not understand what i am going through, and keeps telling me to be patient and wait for my period to come. I saw him over a month ago and expressed that my symptoms of PCOS have all of a sudden returned after 2 years of finally having normal cycles with the help of Metformin. 3 months ago i noticed my periods were about 2-4 days late, but would come. My last cycle was Oct. 23rd and i have still not started, its now Dec. 8th to me thats pretty late. not only am i frustrated with not conceiving but im starting to worry about my health. I called the office and the first available appointment is not until January... all ive been told to do is wait until i get a preiod and go in for blood work on day 2-3 of my cycle. but what if it never comes? am i being ridiculous worrying? or is there a possiblity by some strange chance that i just ovulated extremely late and a preg. test is just not showing something...? hope someone out here can relate.

still no period and no help from my doctor. wondering if i should consider seeing another doctor. im starting to really become concerned for my health. i just dont understand why a doctor would make me wait so long... trying ot to think about it but it seems its all i can think about. i havent been this late since before starting metformin. im so bloated, breasts are sore, super tired, nauseated and a pain on my left side... pretty positive its a cyst. is it possible to become immune to metformin and it all of a sudden just stop working??

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Chances are more that these symptoms are due to PCOS and not due to pregnancy and to confirm the status of pregnancy, I suggest you to test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test. Also then I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
