Hello, the first thing id like to start with is im 14 so im at the age were all i want to do is hang with friends but... i have an issue with my down stairs area. iv talk to doctors talk to friends family i dont know who's advice to take. when i was in 5th or 6th grade i started to get this white discharge not really a smell but i guess maybe a little. when i got in to 7th grade things started happening to me i started puberty sorta. i kinda played things out normal for a year then into 8th grade i went i still hadnt started my period in the begging i talk to my doctor and they gave me a pill for a yeast infection.... i didnt have a yeast infection they said to call back in two weeks because if it wasnt that then is was BV bacteral infection and they were gonna give me a cream.. witch involed for 7 days sticking a tube of white stuff up me. so i dint call them back. somedays you could smell me(well i thought you could) and otherdays i was ok. we ended school about a month ago on june 11 and i had started my period like 2 mounths before school ended from now and the first time iv started iv had 2 periods not heavy and both were brown anyways im gonna talk to my doctor about it but i talked to my cousins and they said they had it 2 they also said that its just you smelling it and that just in case if you have sex or oral sex (not planning on it any time soon) your partener wont taste any thing but i dont even want a guy near me with this because they might think i dont clean and trust me i clean. so my cousin told me that it was just because i have a large glane and so i **** (<=== do what ever girls do) all the time and well if its not that id like to stop it so if you know anything that could help me i would appreciated it. last thing i do not no what to call this on my flaps that help protect the vaginal whole and peeing whole i have a brown spot and its not getting bigger but not going away. i have cancer in my family my aunt survived the vaginal cancer could this be it or is it just a birth mark? hmmmm well all i can say is please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     oh and im gonna see if i can start birth control for my period. i herd your body will intime reject it and i dont want that to happen is this true?

It sounds like you have BV. It causes discharge and a gross almost fishy smell. This is normal, your hormones are changing and you're probably producing more yeast than usual. There's a pill form of medication that can be prescribed for you if you don't want to use the cream then ask the doctor. My advice on the spot, would be to show your doctor and your mom. Visit a gynecologist, it's embarrassing to show someone that part of your body, but it's better to be safe than sorry. And all women have to. As far as the sex thing. I'd steer clear of being with any guys for a long time, even if you think you're in love. Waiting until marriage is the best because you care about that person more than anyone. If not you usually end up breaking up with the guy and regretting ever sharing that part of yourself with them.

And please don't worry about sex or oral sex! Why are you even talking about that?!?!? And birth control pills should be discussed with your mother (or a woman you trust). Stop talking to other kids about such important issues about the body! Be responsible and do what your doctor says!

Why aren't you talking to your mother or an aunt about this? Why cousins? You should have been MADE to return to the doctor for the yeast infection cream! If you do not you can have it get worse because you haven't followed the doctors orders. They are the doctors, not you or your cousins or us. Please talk to an adult woman that you trust. The rest of us grew up talking to our mothers, aunts or women we trust-you should do the same. And you should listen to your doctor. You can cause so many infections when you don't responsibly take care of your body-inside and out. ALL of us have had yeast infections and have used the cream. It's a part of being a female-it's life.

Please talk to your mother or aunt or woman you trust. Talking to people that are close to your age won't do you any good. They know just about what you know.
