i recently had oral sex and I've just been very paranoid about it. I was wondering is it possible to get any kind of STD if the person doesn't *** in your mouth??

PS.  herpes 1 (cold sores) is more contagious than herpes 2 (genital) and transmission from mouth to genitals is common.  Just as an example. Easier to catch herpes that way than genital to genital contact.

So, oral sex is not safe sex for std's in any way shape or form.  luck to all

That's actually not true at all.  Oral sex is a conduit to getting a sexually transmitted disease and not considered safe sex.  It's not rare and girls need to be aware of this.

Poster, you can do a screening to see if you were exposed to anything. good luck

Its depends on your partner's hygiene. Meaning, if he has any transmittable disease and you're exposed to that infectious part for a certain time (i.e. 10 mins, 20 mins etc...), it is possible. But the chances are very small. Its a rare case to get STD through oral sex.

Remember there is such a thing as pre-ejaculate.  If the person has an STD, the person can pass it onto you through oral sex.

Hi there.  You can pass herpes from genitals to the mouth.  You'd then get cold sores/herpes outbreaks on your mouth area if that occurred.  You can get syphilis, HIV, etc.  yeah, it's not safe sex to have unprotected oral sex.  Sorry.  good luck
