Multiple Periods per Month... YIKES!

i no longer have insurance and can not afford to see a doctor, so i would like to know what i am in for here. I have been having excessive periods a month for a while now. it's like i am opposite. i go a total of about a week not on my period a month. i am 20 years old and never have had kids or had miscarriage. My mother had endometriosis  (sp?) and i hope that is not the case with me. I have a Hypoactive thyroid, and am no longer on medication because of the lack of insurace and the ability to even pay for the medication. I still want to have kids within the next 10 years or so, so i was wondering if anyone knew of any natural remedies or whatnot of a problem like this? Please help me out!

i guess i should have given you a little more information. thyroid problems are problems that are forever, once you have one you should be on medications for the rest of you life, i was on meds for 4 years and never got it regulated, now i can't afford any of it. >.<
however i did do some more research on my thyroid problem, and found that it can cause menstral problems in the later stages of it, but that they would become sparse, and this is obviously not the case with me. I have also checked out other posts, but nothing really that helps or is my case exactly.
more information on my periods: sometimes the bleeding is brown and gooey. I have virtually no pain with them, which is amazing considering when i was a good bit younger i had horrid craps that left me curled up in a ball on the couch crying, and had teachers send me home from school because they could tell the amount of pain i was in.
So pretty much i am having 3+ periods/month and not much pain. It is just annoying, and i know it is not normal.
