missed period?

Is it possible to just miss or skip a period? I am fifteen days late now and have taken two tests both saying I am not pregnant and there is no sign of my period coming. Has anyone else had this happen??

Hi there.  Well, what actually happens is that you skipped ovulating when you normally do so then you don't get a period.  Your cycle is longer rather than skipping a period, if that makes sense.  This can happen for a variety of reasons.  Stress, illness, weight gain or loss, issues with thyroid, changes in routine, etc.  I'd wait to see if you get it in another 15 days and if not, see your doctor to determine what is going on.  good luck hon
