neuva ring concerns

I'm considering using this method of contraception, however I read online that using the Nueva Ring causes slight weight gain and mood swings.  I'm normally a very happy person and i bike pretty regularly to stay in shape so i'm concerned that I'll end up less happy and a bit heavier.  Do you know more about the severity of these side effects?

one of my friends is on the neuva ring... she really likes it. she's lost about 10 pounds, and her breasts are getting bigger. im not sure if these are normal side effects, but her periods are now regular and she doesnt get any cramps! she loves it. but like happyteacher was saying, everyone is different.

I am currently on the neuva ring. I am 22 and have been on birth control for years. I have recently lost a lot of weight I am 5 7 and down to 120 which is small for me.. This month I started my period about 10 days early. This is the first time I have not been regular since I have been on birth control. Is this normal or should I be concerned.

I have been on the neuva ring for almost two year since I've been married.  Like you, I am a very happy person and enjoy many activities.  I am also 5'7 and 122 pounds.  I have been the same weight since my first year of college and have not seen any weight increase while using the ring.  In fact I love it and have no plan of changing.  And even my husband agrees that I really  never am moody.  So I hope that helps you.  Some birth controls may do weird things to you, and everyone is different, but I have really had no negative side affects in two years!

You are describing the side effects of any combined birth control pill. You will have to try it if you don't like it after a few months then switch. Most people have to try different pills/options until they find something they like.
