hey, Just wanted to let you know I have the same thing, I had many questions when i was your age too. I was very skinny. not intentionally just naturally, I had not grown into my body. Along with this structurally my pelvis is rotated under so my pelvic bone stuck out more, that got fixed with chiropractic. When i had to stretch or lay on my tummy my pelvic bone always dug into the ground, sometimes still does. however it's not visually noticeable any more. stand up straight and rotate your hips back slightly if you are worried how it looks in a swim suit. Don't worry you are perfectly normal :-)
I am a female i just happened to mark the wrong gender when i was filling it out. Thank you for relpying to my question and helping me realize I need to exept who i am. I just hope i will "grow into it" and find the right perosn who will expect me for who i am. It just ***** i am in a catholic high school so i have to wear tight shirts most of the time and its really hard to cover it up so i dont look like i have a boner haha but anyway thank you again!
Pretty sure the person is female just based on the fact the post is in the women's health forum. There are people with the wrong gender marked quite often.
Anyway, yes, you're born with it. It's probably your superior anterior Iliac spine that's poking out, which is fine. It's meant to. You're probably very slim, so it's more noticeable. Some people's are also just more noticeable in general. It all depends how your genetics made your bone shape.
I don't think a guy's going to complain. Sex is sex. If missionary were to be uncomfortable for him because of it, there are plenty of other positions you guys would be able to do that would make it not even matter at all.
Sorry I made the assumption you were female! How silly of me. Ignore the skirt/wrap thing. Shorts are fine as swimwear!
Are you very slim? I think most of the reason that bones protrude is because there is little fat covering them. You could try swimsuit bottoms with a skirt or a wrap if you are uncomfortable with it. You don't say how old you are, but when you find the right person to have sex with, they (should) accept you for who you are. If they can't, they aren't the right person anyway. As to pros and cons, you are who you are, and it really doesn't matter what your friends think as long as you are happy. I know you are unhappy with being teased for it, and also seem to be uncomfortable with your shape, but as you grow older, your body will change anyway. I have a totally different body shape now at 35 than I did at 18 or even 30.
