PLEASE HELP

I am 54 and have suddenly developed a horrible situation in my "female area".  My left labia started out itchy and quickly has developed bumps, is swollen and extremely painful.  I have no discharge, in fact, just the opposite, I am extremely dry down there, my left labia is swollen and just raw. My clitoris is extremely sore too, it's just plain dried out.
Please someone help!!  I really don't want to have to go through a doctor's  exam if I don't have to.  I prefer to try home rememdies when at all possible.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

if you dont fancy going to the doctors just yet telephone a chemist , their are plenty of over the counter remedies for dryness if you dont want to explain face to face then telephone one they are very helpful , like skin anywhere when dry and irritated can get swollen sore etc. I think you may find a quick trip down the doctors may be best and save yourself time, worry and money :)

When we age (although your not old:)) areas can become thinner and also that part produces less mucas meaning things can get dry and tear, although im not a doctor, it shounds as if you may have inflamation/ infection due to a break in the skin caused by friction. If you dont have an infection yet you are putting yourself at risk if you dont see a doctor.

however when your sorted their are plenty of things you can do or have prescribed that can prevent this ever happening again so try not to worry.

i hope you feel better soon ... take care :)

I have been experiencing this since 2004. I went to the Dr. and they told me that it was psychological. I have been prescribed every cream that is on the market and have brought everything over the counter. I am literally going nuts!! I just read one article this later put and I am trying it right now as I type. She said to emerge a tampon in salt, apple cidar vinegar and warm water. I am trying it now and will post my results in about 2 hours. Try this...Hope it help me and you as well. Good luck!
