vaginal discoloration/itching/broken skin

Hi,I have several symptoms of irritation around my vaginal area.
First off, I have intense discharge once a month, I know that is normal, but it's really intense discharge. It doesn't have a funny smell, but it does have cottage cheese like consistency. It goes away after about 3 days though.
For the past month I've been experiencing severe itching around my rectum. More on the outside than the inside though. This lead to an itch of my vaginal area. Then I found a cut between the anus and the vagina, presumably from itching, but possibly not?
Additionally (and most worrying of all) I noticed parts of my vulva, specifically the lips, have gone very white in a color.
I'm terrified of doctors, please tell me what this may be?

Try oestrogen cream and you will see the difference in three days.  I have the same problem and been having it for 5 years now - I am only 32 years old and really should not be having it but seems like oestrogen cream brings back the fullness and completely moisturises the skin - it is great - try premarin.

I have had outer vaginal itching since I was a child and now I am 38 years of age.  The area around my vagina have discoloured to a more paler shade than my normal skin tone and the area is always peeling/flaking. The itching used to be mostly at night time and now for the past couple of years, it itches during the day as well.  I had been going to a skin specialist and gave up with their medications, as nothing seem to help.  The only cream I am constantly applying is Balneum Plus, which helps keep the area moist but does not stop the severe itching, especially at night.  I am happily married with 3 children, but I have lost my confidence with myself when I have regular sex with my husband.  It's so embarrasing to even look at the area - dry, flaky skin, discoloured and at times with cuts and bleeding caused through itching.  It seems like a problem that I can never come out of.
