HI! Not sure if I am in the right discussion group with all of my symptoms, but this is where I will start.
I am 37 yo female, history of smoking about 3/4 pack per day. Diagnosed two years ago with PVC's. The doctors put me on Toprol. Pretty much non eventful until about 6 months ago. Over the last few months I have been having strong PVC's with lightheadness. Scares me, I think Im going to pass out. During the feeling of lightheadedness I get a rushing sound or fullness in my ears, sort of like tinnitus but it dosent ring. I thought maybe I was pre-menopausal being that I have only had one mestrual period in the last 8 mons but all bloodwork on hormones showed normal levels. However my bloodwork did come back with a TSH level of 9.1. Doctor then diagnosed me with Hypothyroid and started me on 0.25mcg of Synthroid. PVC's during this time are still not under control and I am short of breath, sweaty, and hot. The Synthroid seems to make them worse of course. However the TSH levels would account for my tiredness lately. I have also gained 35lbs in the last 8 mos. My doctors cant seem to get the medication regulated for my thryroid to where my PVC's are under control. I have had a holter, bloodwork, an echo, and stress test. All normal. But something just dosent seem right. Like they are missing something somewhere.
In the course of the last two days I have had very bad pitting edema in my lower extremities and a feeling of weakness in my hands. Im starting to get scared now. I have a drs appt in 6 days but Im just starting to get nervous with the new symptoms. I am constantly walking around with a feeling of lightheadness and short of breath.
Any suggestions. Any reason to think they would be missing anything or should I just relax and take the time to get the medication adjusted. Its been 6 months.??
Thanks for any suggestions and input.
