Am I Infected?

I am 30 YO guy. Worried that I may have got infected.
I met this friend of mine on 5th of Dec 2010 which was just a causual  meeting after 5 years. After having drinks she started touching me and I got aroused and we end up mating.
While in act, she pulled out a Condom from her hand bag and tried to put on my D*** but it was slipping out as it lost erection. Then she wanted to have sex with me without it and told me that she is not worried and will eat some pregnancy pills. We ended up mating 2 times in the same night.

But last night I had some diarrhea like stools.
Then I went to a family function and there i had some Hard Drinks. Their I felt strange Watery feeling in my stomach.

In the morning when i woke up i had some sweat around my neck when i took out my face from my quilt. (I always sleep like that with my face in quilt) but never happened this thing before.

I am loosing sleep from that night till today ..Am I infected?

the one which was on top was filled with Blood when i popped it last night and in morning it looked fine and dried up but the other ones look like Mosquito Bites (one in front and one on the back of shoulder)
My dizziness had come back again yesterday with the same feverish feeling but when i took my temperature it was showing me 97.4. its happening every alternate day!! "

Even if they hadn't been ARS symptoms, the anxiety can always be calmed down by testing that too at 3 months and beyond (since you had significant unprotected exposure)for conclusiveness!!!

Thanks teak once again.I would like to clarify that is there a difference between testing at 12 weeks rather than 13 weeks. Some say that 12 weeks for completion of 3 months while for some 12 weeks stands good.Does this really makes difference?Pl answer!!!!

The only medicine that may extend the seroconversion period is chemo, antirejection drugs for organ transplants, nPEP medications and chronic IV drug users.

4th Generation Testing
http://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVaccines/BloodBloodProducts/ApprovedProducts/LicensedProductsBLAs/BloodDonorScreening/InfectiousDisease/UCM216314.pdf

Page 27
Current methods for the detection of HIV may not detect all infected individuals. An ARCHITECT HIV Ag/Ab Combo test result that is nonreactive does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2. Nonreactive results in this assay for individuals with prior exposure to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 may be due to antigen and antibody levels below the limit of detection of this assay.

UK testing guidelines.
Post-test discussion

The need for a repeat HIV test if still within the window period after a specific exposure should be discussed. Although fourth generation tests shorten the time from exposure to seroconversion a repeat test at three months is still recommended to definitively exclude HIV infection.

http://www.bhiva.org/documents/Guidelines/Testing/GlinesHIVTest08.pdf

All testing follows the same basic steps:
The window period lasts 4 to 6 weeks but occasionally up to 3 months after HIV exposure. Persons at high risk who initially test negative should be retested 3 months after exposure to confirm results.

Therefore, any patient testing negative who has had known or suspected exposure to HIV within 3
months should be instructed to retest 3 months after the
exposure date [30]

Thanks Teak for the patient hearing and answering plenty of questions. To finish off when i just enquired about the test results the Pathelogy MD told me that most persons will show signs in 1-2 months max and so far your tests hold good but if you are experiencing any kinda symptoms you described then retesting at end of 4th,5th and finally at 6 months time.Does with the kind of tests i took is it really required in today's time that a person can seroconvert so late??What is the probability of those persons and what kind of persons they are?? As far as  i know i never had chemo,no organ transplant, never took ART drugs but i do have diabitics which was detected lately.Kindly answer.Thats the reason i was partially happy when i too the reports from the pathelogy and immediately i mailed you.KINDLY DO ANSWER.My worries are in conjunction to the dizziness and shoulder pain which is still there since encounter.

DO again testing are required even after 3 months time now a days.If yes then paranoia will be continued for ever and the testing will never ever comes to end..Be it 4th month then six months then at 1 year so and so forth...PLEASE I REALLY NEED YOUR SINCERE  ADVICE IN THIS
REGARD!!!

Hello!

I am too from India.I am not highjacking ones Thread. But one thing i would ike you to ask that i took 1 test at 3rd week from ESLIA Antibody test then at 5th,7th 9th,11th and finally yesterday at 84th day thats exactly at the completion of 12 weeks.I too suffering from some symptoms like on and off loose stools,on and off muscle aching, dizziness and neck pain.I too lost a little weight as well.

I just wanted to know if here in India are using 3rd Generation test which looks for Antibodies only. But  the pathelogy from where i took the test the lab repot says:ECLIA (p24+HIV 1/2 Antibody) Ag/Ab Test -NON RECATIVE.Is this One is 3rd or 4th Generation Test??.Though the pathelogy is a very famous pathelogy here its called RML Lab and its almost more than 50 years old.

Though i got confirmation from Teak yesterday about my conclusiveness. Also is 3rd Generation test are more reliable than 4th Generation test? Are they just bluffing by writing p24 Antigen where as doing test at 3rd Generation ELISA kit??Pl answer..

1) I had Feverish Feeling (But NO FEVER)??  was checking with Thermometer 98.5-99.3
2) I also felt Dizzi along with HOT and Cold Flushes (Throught the 3rd Week)..
3) at the end of 3rd week on Saturday evening ifelt some Watery feeling in my stomach and then when i attended washroom i had slight diarrhea. Straight away after that i had fainting feeling for 10 mins and then by the night i felt alright..
4) following day on Sunday i had Diarrhea at lunch time again and after that i felt nauseatic..
5) on monday (in start of 4th week) all the symptoms went away without any explanation.

Does any one know how long the Diarrhea last if a person is having ARS?
I know it can be mild to severe.. but if it is mild? then how mild it will be?
whether it will be 3 or more bouts of diarrhea a day and for more than 2 days or it can be 2 days and once a day?

Hi Vance,

I know but my anxiety gets me back on the post and my mind is asking me too many questions every day..thats all!!
Diarrhea (Unconsistent for last 2 days of the 3rd Week but only at Lunch Times)
with Abdominal Stabbing pain...

is it something usual in ARS? or ARS Diarrhea is longer in span..and multiple times in day?

Please clarify my this point!!
Anyone?

If you knew the rules then you would not keep posting the same thing over and over and over again and you would listen to what you were told about testing.

We don't discuss symptoms, they are general and not specific to HIV. Symptom looking has no benefit to anyone.

Test at 3 months post exposure, other then that this forum can really be no more help to you, and you do risk of getting banned.
