Thank you so very much for all the support everyone has given me! I have started the taper. I was taking 500mg a day of the Tramadol and since Saturday have cut down to 300mg. Its very hard. I work alot and get tired and bottom out alot. I drink alot of coffee and that seems to help. I have been taking Tylenol PM at night and that really seems to help. I will talk to my doctor about the Effexor idea. I will have to try it on the weekend so I dont miss any work. I also heard Celexa is a good one for withdrawal symptoms.
Thank you so very much! You are all great!
HI this is something you need to discus with your doctor cominog off tram is ruff doing it the right way it is nothing to mess with ask your doctor for a taper plan and also ask about an antidepressant effexor has been used by many of our members it makes up for the one thats built into tram stick with the forum for support coming off this drug we have a couyple of ladys here who know it well I willl messesge them for you good luck and God bless......Gnarly
it depends on how much you are on. I did a CT taper down from 800mg a day but I am aware that this was a dangerous thing to do. i took anti-epileptics for 3 days so I wouldn't have a fit.
taper down to a relatively small dose and then do the jump off it.
If you're on a high dose discuss this with a doctor
good luck
Hi Lucy. Yes...it's dangerous to CT off of Tram. You should talk to your doctor about a taper schedule. WD symptoms include the usual opiate symptoms....sweating, fatigue, headaches, upset stomach, anxiety, trouble sleeping and flu like symptoms. But unlike other opiates, you can have siezures, brain-zaps. From what I have read...it's a pretty dangerous drug to CT from. I would talk to your doc about a taper program.
