I don't understand why anyone would want to get pregnant at that age. You cant even vote or own your own apartment. I think the show 16and pregnant needs to show real hardships instead that your parents are going to be there holding your hand. Some parents kick their daughters out. They have to pay for everything. But they make it seem so easy. Even women that are older struggle but they don't show that on tv
It's not even age that's a factor for me. It's like, if you're plotting to secretly get pregnant to keep your boyfriend, asking if you got pregnant through a *******/fingering, or freaking out when you didn't use birth control and now being pregnant is the end of the world and you have no idea how it could have happened, then you're an idiot. Teen or not. I know a lot of older parents who do things that make me shake my head. If you're 32 and buy or sell drugs then I will think less of you than I do a teen mom going to school and working to care for their baby.
contraception failed on me when I was 18. I got an abortion cos we were breaking up. I coulda had the baby with him. I chose not too. that was our choice we wernt ready no way I was going to bring a child into the world in a broken relationship. with a guy i couldnt stand!! now m pregnant with the love of my life been with him for 6 years and we are ready for this together! no regrets!
Not all teen mums are the same im 18, have my own house, have transport, I also have a job working in a secondary school and have completed school and college and I am currently doing an online university course, my boyfriend who is my baby daddy also works full time and lives with me. We have lots if support from family and friends although I have chosen not to have them look after my child when she is born shes my responsibility so I am taking 9 months off to look after her and hopefully see her hit some milestones. Then I will pay for childcare and continue to work and progress up the career ladder. Stop judging teen mums and may I add I didn't get pregnant on purpose contraception failed on me. The young girls asking for advice on how to get pregnant will probably just want someone to talk to and abit of attention has anyone just tried having a mature conversion with any of them to see what's really the matter? It doesnt matter what age people are they all have things which they need to improve on in life nobody's perfect and sometimes just because people are older it doesn't mean they are any better or wiser or that they haven't made the same mistakes.
Exactly! I understand wic and all that. But when you make your parents pay for everything is not right. they didnt tell you to get pregnant so THEY can pay for it.
I think being a teen mom isn't always a bad thing, as long as you have support from yor family and are in school and working and raising your child and isn't pawning the child off to your parents or friends while you go and party.. I think it makes a lot grow up and get mature. Who cares what age it looks bad when you see 15 year olds but seriously there's some young teens who grow and mature more than older woman. In my opinion "teen pregnancy" is something people look down on , but no one should judge because nobody know what they go through!
Thank you! I agree with this completely being a teen mom is not going to be easy regardless of the mind set. And just because im young and pregnant it doesnt mean im gonna go and support others doing it especially the younger ones, I will be 20 next month and I dont for one second think this is going to be easy, I dont expect any help from anyone except my husband. I dont live with my parents or my husbands parents we live on our own and its difficult but we support ourselves our parents dont support us, not that there is anything wrong with getting help but if your gonna have a child you should be able to support yourself first
I am friends with 3 teen moms on here. They got pregnant and in a very wrong way. They did a selfless then and didnt get an abortion and i respect them a lot for that. I just dont like the teen moms who get pregnant on purpose and expect there parents to pay for anything. Or do it just to keep the father. To me its dumb and i rather not talk to them.
I understand your point its just frustrating that all us teen moms get put in that category I was the girl no one thought would get pregnant quiet, good grades, excellent life plan but I became pregnant I don't regret my son at all I pay for everything he has and I will continue tobecause he is my rresponsibility
I get that all the time. A 16 year old said she didnt want her bf she was with for 6 months to leave her and asked me how i got pregnant so she could so she couldnt lose him. You dont get pregnant to keep someone. From experience i kno en im not with my babys father and he hates me. Having a baby doesnt keep someone.
The one that got me was a few weeks ago. A 16 year old was scared her 21 year old boyfriend was going to break up with her and was asking how to get pregnant without him knowing.
