Hey everyone. Look into vitamin d resistsnca.
Obesity, low cholesterol and VDR polymorphism are some of the main factors!
You may need much higher D levels in order to compensate.
Also when hyper supplementing, you may need added K2 to drive calcium to
the joints, bones and teeth, instead of soft tissues.
Cheers,
Niko
Not great today. I keep getting strange chills and it leads to anxiety. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better. I'm about to go to bed, which should help calm me down. How about you?
yes,It's depressing....but we have to be strong even when we feel we can't continue one day more suffering this way.
It will get better.
It was better for me when my levels were better than now.
I'm sorry your not feeling well. Right now I'm taking 6000iu of D3 and 400mg of magnesium. I just started K2. I'm taking it every other day and I'm going to see how that makes me feel. This is not fun. Usually during the week I have better days, but on weekends by the end of busy days (I have a lot to get done on weekends) I am just drained and all of my symptoms usually hit me all at once by the end of each day. I hate it I hate it I hate it! I just want this to be done and gone. It's depressing.
How much are you taking now?
I think something similar happned to me,I started with large doses and my level improved a lot at the begining. Then when i changed for daily dose my levels were dropping little by little .
I started in april 2014 with a level of 16ng/ml and went to 41 in two months.
Now my actual level is 23 :(
I feel terrible bad again when i was doing lot of improving.
I'm having lot of anxiety,rapid heart beat,shortness of breathe and can't go out without feeling I'm going to pass out wich lead me to panic attacks.
Pains and aches are mild and were terrible one year ago.
Maybe we need to stay in high doses untill our levells were high enough to try a smaller dose.
This deficiency is very difficult to control and takes a lot of time to feel better but seems that once your levels are dropping symptoms are very easy to appear again.
I think if you are taking something like 10.000 iu of D3 you have to take 400mg of magnesium and 90mcg of k2.
I'm now in 100.000 iu twice a month and then blood test at the end of this month to see if how my body reacts.
Its still up and down. I'm feeling "okay". I still have very little energy, and muscle aches and bursts of anxiety that come and go. Hopefully things will start improving now that i've upped my dosage. I may have to up my magnesium though. I don't know if what I take daily is enough to balance with the D3. I need to do a little research on what I should be taking, and how much of it. How are you feeling?
I was taking 3-4,000 and now I'm taking about 6,000 daily.
I was taking between 6.000 and 10.000
And you?
How much vitamin D do you take daily?
what is hapening to you is same than is happening to me.
very bad anxiety and levels decreasing.
thank you i'm taking magnesium.
just had my blood test result and my vitamin d is very low again.
Don't know whether your muscle spasms are anything to do with any bone problems that you are having, but if you are getting muscle spasms it may be due to lack of minerals like magnesium.
Also make sure that you drink plenty of fluids, especially water.
I'm having panic attacks too.
I just don't pay too much atention to the anxiety attacks the only thing that is freaking me out is muscle spasm and pain again.
No pain in my fingers for long and now it's back....
I just want my life back.
I was the same way I've been taking 50,000 iu once a week for a few months that really seemed to help. Ive gone thru all the symptoms also anxiety,depression,ringing in ears,etc. Ive been dealing with this for almost a year now i feel so much better than before just hang in there it gets better.
And also, my anxiety is horrible. I feel like I'm on the brink of an anxiety attack almost everyday. This past month I've had 3 really bad anxiety attacks already, and it's scary as hell.
I completely agree. It's scary to think of starting back at the beginning. My celiac test came back negative too. I just want to get better. I'm sick of the struggle. I haven't been myself in so long, I forget what it feels like to be normal again.
I was tested for celiac and was negative.
My levels were improving first 2 months,second 2 months dropping,other 2 months dropping.
I've tried everything....magnesium,changing vitamin form and brands
I'm also having symptoms again feeling I'm going back and having lot of anxiety because I'm afraid to go back to point zero after 10 months fighting and suffering.
It's so weird that my body isn't taking it in... I do take magnesium and calcium along with the D. I'm going to ask my doctor to also test me for celiac. My sister has it and the symptoms are the same, and it would explain why my body isn't absorbing the vitamin D
Same happening to me.
I'm was taking 5.000 iu d3 and my levels were dropping when were increasing the first 2 months.
Some people say adding magnesium helps absortion.
Thanks. Yeah, I will definitely try to add some of this to my diet. Pescatarian is vegetarian that eats seafood. I was a vegetarian for years, but I wasn't getting enough protein in my diet, so I started eating fish about 4 years ago.
Check out the website for foods that contain Vitamin D. Here is one link for you:
http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/10-foods-containing-vitamin-d/
Foods containing Vitamin D:
Breakfast cereals are fortified with Vitamin D; Butter and milk have small amounts;
Shiitake and Button Mushrooms, the dried versions of shiitake mushrooms are high in vitamin D
Mackerel;
Sockeye Salmon;
Herring;
Sardines (One small tin can of sardines will provide you with approximately 70% of your daily needs);
Catfish;
Tuna (eat 3 ounces of tuna daily for 50% of your vitamin D needs;
Cod Liver Oil;
Eggs (eating one egg daily will provide you with approximately 10% of your daily needs);
Sunshine. When our skin is exposed to the sun, our liver makes the Vitamin D.
I have never heard of a pescatarian so will find info to learn about this.
Hope you get on OK with your doc.
Best wishes.
Thanks for the info. I guess my diet is healthy to a point where there isn't enough fat in it. That makes sense in that case. I am a vegetarian/pescatarian, I do eat seafood, but not often enough. Just last week I started to take omega-3 with my other vitamins, so hopefully that will start helping soon. I will make a point to eat more fish. I hear Mackerel is a good source of Vitamin D, and fatty tuna. Looks like its time for sushi! :)
Seriously though... thanks. I worry. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow morning to discuss the results and see if there is anything else I can do to help.
