There aren't really false positive ranges. There are some that are equivocal or indterminate. There aren't really tests that are only confirmatory tests - all can be used for diagnosing herpes. Some people retake the test because they don't want to believe it, and others have low enough numbers and no symptoms and take another test just to confirm.
No test is 100% accurate.
What was your result? And why are you thinking yours is a false positive? Did you have an IgG or IgM test?

yea, because of many different factors; but if its unusual, then why would there be a false positive range and all sorts of confirmatory tests
Its very unusual to have a false positive on a herpes blood test, especially if you have a higher number.
